Paint protection film, also known as clear bra or PPF, is a thermoplastic urethane film that is applied to the painted surfaces of a vehicle to protect it from scratches, chips, and other types of damage. The film is transparent and can be applied to any part of the vehicle, including the hood, fenders, doors, and bumpers.
The file is typically 6.5-8.5 mils thick and is designed to be self-healing, meaning that it can repair itself from minor scratches and swirl marks. It is also resistant to UV rays, which can cause the paint to fade over time, Once applied, the film is virtually invisible and provides long-lasting protection for the vehicle’s paint.
Wrapping the car or having a test of the film whenever you open the PPF boxes, kindly handle the PPF carefully to avoid damages during installation and follow these steps in case of any inappropriate operation:
1. When you take out film from the box without dust-proof place, tear off the stickers. Especially for our Nano hydrophobic coating, which is best for water discharge, the viscosity of the protection film is not as strong as the hydrophilic coating,the air will enter into the film easily because of the tensile force.
After you peel off the protection film, the film will be contaminated by the dust and small articles in the air, it causes the pinhole.
2. To avoid of pinhole, please ensure opening the film under dust-proof place, you have to press the film firmly for preventing the air entering into other parts, if you want cut 1 meter for test, better roll it up immediately and packed well after cutting.
1. Inappropriate operation can cause the damage of the film, such as swirl marks and imprint. Open the film gently and smoothly in onene direction to avoid folding damage or imprint caused by protection film.
